The 40 Day Health Challenge, by the producers of "Operation Transformation", was a free to access public health initiative aimed at inspiring people across Ireland to make sustainable lifestyle changes in the new year. With expert guidance and a supportive community, the 40 Day Health challenge guided participants in eating well, moing more, and improving their mental wellbeing over 40 days.
The 40DHC TV series launched Monday 6th January 2025 and continued for 40 consequtive Days.
Client side app: A simple but strongly branded design and UI was developed to create a vibrancy around the 40 Day Health challenge, while presenting an engaging, intuitive user experience to users familiar with the popular Operation Transformation series that featured on RTÉ schedules up to 2024. The client web app (website) features a manifest that allows it to be "installed" as an 'app' on mobile phones to make it easier for users to locate and access regularly.
Given the national scope of the initiative and its connection to the popular "Operation Transformation TV series," it was anticipated that the platform would need to support a high volume of users . Therefore, the hosting architecture had to be robust and flexible enough to handle significant and fluctuating user loads without compromising performance or stability.
Server Side app: A bespoke content management and user app deployment system was developed to provide a staging area, to facilitate collation of content quickly, facilitate media review, testing and quality control in advance of scheduled deployment of the client app and project assets to high traffic cloud infrastructure.
